Planet Labs satellite imagery confirmed the destruction of a Russian Tu-95 strategic bomber at Engels-2 airbase following a Ukrainian drone strike.
Images show the aircraft severed in half, corroborating SBU reports of a critical hit 800km deep.

On the night of July 16, the Security Service of Ukraine destroyed a Tu-95MS strategic bomber at Engels-2 Air Base.
Two Tu-95MS were at Engels Air Base for a long period of time and conducted rotations, maintenance, and training.
The tail section of the Tu-95MS was completely destroyed and is beyond repair.
