Our friends at Hartington Creamery make the wonderful formerly known as a PDO now a UK Protected Designation of Origin status assigned local Derbyshire Dovedale Blue Cheese. This wonderfully unique and rare cheese is both softer and less dense than stilton with a blue tangy taste

***Cheese of the day***
This soft round triple cream white mould cheese is named after its inventor, a local cheesemaker from just outside Paris. Milk from the region is mixed with crème fraîche and the handmade technique required to retain the soft rich buttery texture.

Made exclusively with summer milk, the Swiss Le Gruyere d'Alpage has a fruity and complex floral character, due to the cows grazing purely on Summer Alpine pasture. As the milk is heated over a wood fire, this give a subtle smoky note!!

Another favourite of ours, We love a good Wensleydale. Made using unpasteurised cow's milk and to a traditional recipe using animal rennet. Old Roan Wensleydale is not only smooth but deliciously creamy and less crumbly than most.

Delice de Bourgogne is a French classic triple crème cheese made by Fromagerie Lincet.

The cheese is made by blending full fat cow's milk with crème fraîche to create an incredibly delicious soft cheese with a rich flavour and a smooth, melt-in-the-mouth texture.
