Today, I inspected and was impressed with the ongoing rehabilitation of road networks in the old Port Harcourt township. The aim is to restore the township to its past glory of beautiful ambiance.
I also stopped over at the Creek road Market which we are rebuilding to create a modern complex so as to remove people trading along the street.
Once the market is completed, Creek Road will also be properly rehabilitated to give it a facelift that will showcase the old nature of the area.
We promised our people that despite challenges we will remain focused on delivering good governance to the State.
Today, I joined well-meaning Nigerians and stakeholders of our State in an Inter-Denominational Church Service to commemorate the 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day at St. Cyprain's Anglican Church, Hospital Road, Port Harcourt.
It was important to honour our fallen heroes and heroines as well as legionnaires who sacrificed enormously to keep our nation safe and united. It was also an opportunity for us to declare our faith in God especially with the situation in our dear State believing that enduring peace will certainly be attained.

The outpouring of love at the 2025/2026 Legal Year of the Rivers State Judiciary is massive, clearly showing that Rivers people are thankful to God for a leader like Gov. Sim Fubara.
Today, we attended the church service at Corpus Christi Cathedral, Port Harcourt, to mark the opening of the Rivers State 2025/2026 Legal Year.
We used the occasion to appreciate the Church for its support and prayers for peace and development of our State.
Thereafter, we attended the special Court session to declare open the new legal year at Ceremonial Court. It was a moment to reflect on the contributions of our Judiciary to the dispensation of justice while also highlighting its accomplishments and some of its challenges.
We are hopeful that as members of the profession that bestride the temple of justice, they will always protect the weak and uphold their responsibility of ensuring equity, fairness and justice in our society.
