You’re telling me a woman’s saliva contains a micro RNA that indicates if she has endometriosis and instead of waiting 10 years for diagnosis she could just spit into a test tube and find out in like a couple days? actually, yes.
I read a lot about women’s health and I try to share what I learn on this account and turns out that the UK is rolling out a test called the Endo test through their NHS.For evidence collection for the next three years because the clinical trials are that promising for the Endo test they want to gather evidence in the real world with real patience and all the variables that come along with it and this is such amazing news because currently the way we diagnose endometriosis is through a surgery which obviously comes with so much risk and not just delays and delays and delays the eventual treatment. one in 10 women have endometriosis so you probably know someone and if you do you know how incredibly painful this condition is so the idea that we can cut the diagnosis time down significantly is so massive

When I am asked why I wrote Girl Unmasked, I say that I was angry. Which is true...
Real dev talk, I am having a hard time right now. Previews for Vampire Therapist are stellar, but wishlist levels are not great for a game that is by all accounts testing *extremely* well. Won't you please wishlist my dark and wholesome game? https://t.co/AopYD66eMA
I wish more non-autistic people knew and accepted that autistic people who can seemingly do a lot of things - like work, socialise and clean - may truly need to rest after doing them, may not be able to do them in quick succession, and may sometimes not be able to do them at all.
A lot of people say a lot of things about COVID transmission risk. But what do the heavyweight experts in airborne infection and transmission control, who were in the game long before COVID, say? It’s not what you’d expect. A 🧵.
Apparently it's autism awareness month-weird to me as I'll still be autistic next month, but here are a few things I've learned since my late diagnosis (Nov '21,age 49):
We have MANY more neurons than neurotypical folk bc synaptic pruning didn't really happen when we were tiny...
“Congrats - you’re old! Maybe this year you will try and be normal again.”
This was a birthday message I received from a relative. They’re referring to my disabilities and to my Covid caution. They consider both “abnormal”.

@studentdrdemon I had a bisalp that I was terrified of and the only thing that made me feel comfortable was that a nurse was holding my hand as I was being put under.
@SexmanBlockBoy@EruditeElf@EliMcCann Its another way of saying a backup plan, Ive mostly seen redundancy in used this way when talking about electronics or machinery in case parts or circuits fail
In the wake of a medication shortage, strategies and techniques to manage your #adhd become even more vital (and harder to implement, it’s a catch-22, I know!).
Here are some of my most foundational non-medication #ADHD management techniques:
