It has been an honor to serve the @PressSec, @POTUS and the American people at the @WhiteHouse. I’m so grateful for my talented colleagues, and their partnership, friendship, and support.
I look forward to continuing to serve at @ENERGY.

We need to:
Ban assault weapons — and if we can’t, then we should raise the age to purchase them from 18 to 21.
Ban high-capacity magazines.
Strengthen background checks.
Enact safe storage laws and red flag laws.
Repeal gun manufacturers’ immunity from liability.
No one more deserving!
So proud of my friend and colleague @VedantPatel46! I cannot imagine this last year without you and can’t wait to see all the big things @StateDept has in store for you!
NEW: Vedant Patel, WH assistant secretary, is leaving his role to serve as the principal deputy spokesman at State next month. OMB spokesperson Abdullah Hasan will replace him. https://t.co/zuuYIyDIu9

We'll all miss him at the White House, but the @StateDept couldn't have made a better choice. https://t.co/Yswm0CyPB2
