I think the new plan to make it legal for police to take control of a property after arson, will help. They had to hand it back to the landowner, as things stand.

Whoever is responsible for the deplorable arson and subsequent demolition of the #CrookedHouse should take note:
The Punch Bowl in Hurst Green, Lancashire was illegally demolished in 2021 and the courts have ruled it must be rebuilt from the rubble.

@MeirionTweets The mistake they've made is thinking it was just another building standing in their way. It wasn't. It was an iconic pub that had 200 years of history in its timbers. Here's hoping ( but not expecting ) the new owners and developers will be held to account. It makes me so angry.

@chanjitkhatra @RishiSunak They are entitled, according to international law, to travel here to seek safety. And you'd be surprised how unsafe those safe countries can be.
It isn't about money, it's about visas and passports. 41% of refugees don't have those for legitimate reasons.

@nifgriff @RishiSunak It's @RishiSunak 's job as PM, to ensure that International law, as overseen and ratified by Winston Churchill, is supported and that refugees can seek asylum here. So he needs to know how to differentiate between these people and how to deal with it.

I know that 41% of refugees have no documentation, that about 90% get granted asylum because they are from war torn countries, and that there are also refugees who have destroyed their documents or had them stolen by traffickers.
