@OsteopathTish@Miroandrej Same. In countries like mine and how many others, they could even galvanise gender identity into the discrimination laws. It's wild.
The CCES (Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport) write in their Trans Inclusion Policy:
"While we can observe that participants in men’s sport, on average, out-perform participants in women’s sport, current science is unable to isolate why this is the case." (p. 20)
As Toyah Willcox sang all those years ago: "It's a mystery!"

Which Canadian scientists have they consulted?
The mind boggles!

@steele_mik28277@AlessandraAster Nah. She's a well-known legal scholar and hence known by many. Not all people have the same interests whilst using this app, for instance being popular or liked.
@AlessandraAster I've found many of his legal analysis valuable but I don't understand why he's talking about some identity here. In many countries, like mine, unfortunately, gender identity is mentioned in equality laws, but the UK Equality Act doesn't operate like that.
@OttoMeri Marxin teoriat sosialismista eivät liittyneet tappamiseen. Meidän juristien koulutuksessa pitäis selvästi lisätä aatehistorian ja yhteiskuntateorian opettamista.
@honestmasculine@LisaBritton Yes and also the whole narrative gives an impression that it's only women who provide emotional support in relationships. As if men wouldn't do the same emotional labor to support women's mental health.
@AlessandraAster Sex is recognised in the law as something relevant in regards to the discrimination. Gender identity isn't. Legislators have also decided and no need to be neutral.
@JohanPaasikivi@JHJ612@OttoMeri Ai siis miten karkoitus tapahtuu vakaviin rikoksiin syyllistymisen perusteella? Ihan normaalissa laillisessa järjestyksessä Migrin päätöksellä, johon voi hakea hallinto-oikeudesta muutosta. Näitä tapahtuu satoja vuosittain. Mikä osa sulle oli epäselvää?
Fife, impotent to destroy Sandie's career, have decided to go nuclear on her reputation instead.
Thing is, a woman in the UK could be an actual Nazi & she'd still be entitled to a single sex changng area under the Workplace Regs 92.
Our rights aren't rewards for good behaviour.
@dopeyramone@DeeSonoIo@ThomasWillett9 Even racist can have rights. Or you think people should be allowed to harass and discriminate them in situations unrelated to their opinions?
@SVPhillimore I agree. But I trust the judge also can ignore irrelevant opinions while writing his judgment. If there was a jury deciding the matter, I would be more worried.
No. That isn't the problem at all. The problem is that trans people and trans critics have a fundamental disagreement about reality.
Trans people genuinely believe they have a "gendered soul" trapped inside themselves. They believe they can change their sex with hormones and surgeries.
The trouble is, empirical biology disagrees. The Gnostic concept of a gendered soul separate from one's physical self has no basis in anything other than mysticism. From science, we know humans are gonochoric; no quantity of hormones, surgeries, pronouns, self ID laws, or activist cancellation of critics can change one's sex.
Nevertheless, our society has inexplicably allowed trans activists to insert the concept of "gender identity" into our laws -- this even though the concepts of "sex" and "gender identity" are MUTUALLY ANTAGONISTIC. When one of these two concepts exists in law, the other cannot.
We have seen this mutual antagonism play out in sports, bathrooms, and prisons, where if any man claims he is a woman, women's sex-based rights become null and void. This is why there is now such a vehement backlash against the heart-tugging deceit of "be kind."
Trans activists have demanded that the rest of the world adopt a patient's delusion as part of the patient's treatment. They have attacked reality, science, language, law, the rights of women, children, parents, gay people, their own bodies, and the thread that links 2M years of evolution and all of humanity together, our sex.
The world has woken up to the reality that trans ideology is a fraud. Society is saying "no more."
And your response shows you are committed to ignoring a structural analysis of male sexual entitlement and a society that is organised around prioritising it.
We live in a world in which we are *all* socialised to think that men's needs and desires are paramount, and women's job is to place their own needs after those of men. This is the core of the feminine gender role inside a male dominant society.
And if you think for a second that the trans rights project would have ever got off the ground if it involved reorganising the whole of society in a way that harmed men's material interests in order to meet the desires of only female people you are on glue.
