O my Lord! Without You, I am like a child without father or mother.
My mind is restless—won’t You grant me even a small token of Your grace?”

Fold your hands before Him and beg for help, protection, and forgiveness. Those familiar with the temple know how quickly He answers prayers.

He is the protector of devotees and the destroyer of evil.

I speak from personal experience.

Some vidvans say "do not ask bhagavAn for this or that, you must not recite sahasranama for worldly benefits".

All this is incorrect. You can even chant ashtAkshara or dvayam for worldly wealth. None of us have that level of vairAgya and it is permitted by shAstra.

[Mahisara Ramanuja Dasan (परकालदासोऽहम्) @BMidou124]

@DefiledGod நின்னையே தான் வேண்டி நீள் செல்வம் வேண்டாதான் - I aspire for you alone not other wealth - Bhagavan alone is Nidhi , Bhagavan alone is Santhana.

[Dark Saint @DefiledGod]

@BMidou124 True but no problems at all asking him for worldly wealth. Sudhama did & he was a bhAgavata. We are not even equal to the dust of his feet though he is aishvaryArti.

As bhagavAn says in gIta "उदारा: सर्व" - all who resort to me alone for even petty goals are generous

[Dark Saint @DefiledGod]

Bit funny that 9 days of durgA lead to worship of rAma, when her Ishta was krishna.

shAstra is often like that. It prescribes rAma mantra for wealth when rAma renounced everything for the forest and gopAla mantra for progeny, when krishna deprived devakI of his own childhood!

Let the Rama who is seated in our heart that wanders towards darkness, slain the great Ravana who are our ten sense organs through our " Intellect" incarnated as his powerful arrows. Let our mind contemplate on that " Vishwatma" who eyes are beautiful yet are like blood red lotus
