Earl Haig recognised the potential of poppies to become a symbol of Remembrance & as a means to support welfare of ex-Servicemen.He ordered nine million which were sold on 11th November 1921.The Poppy Appeal was born!

Now that I am fully vaccinated, I could travel to Paris tomorrow to visit my sister (who is also fully vaccinated). Next week we could both get on the same flight to return to Glasgow, however upon arrival she would have to isolate for 10 days while I will be exempt.
