@Sue_T2O @TashaLaming @nhsggcmhot @theRCOT Any colour that contrasts well with the food will work! Most foods stand out against blue/purple but if the food is dark, a white plate would work best. Hope that helps

Fiona Gibson OP OT #OTHacks is using blue/purple plates to serve food. Many people with dementia have difficulties with sight and perception. Switching to blue/purple can improve ability to identify food, especially when pale in colour improving their ability to eat independently

Part of this project was also to transform environments into purposeful and dementia friendly spaces. This included a "pub-like" environment, sensory room, and redecoration of a unit with signage, calming colours and contrasting rails
