My friend got mugged in London last night by a gang. First question: “Are you a boy or girl?” He’s not trans. He’s a gay guy, with shoulder length hair. Not cut in a feminine style - just shoulder length hair. Punched and kicked to ground. Beaten. Terrified. Didn’t fight back in case they had a knife. Took his phone, laptop and watch. This is the street level of the world the Gender Critical movement, JK Rowling, the BBC, the Daily Mail and all the others who have demonised and reduced trans people specifically and the the LGBT+ community more broadly over the last few years have created. Of course, they’ll say it’s got nothing to do with them. But it freaking does . All of those I’ve mentioned, along with Labour, The Cons and Reform, are dragging the world back to times of queer bashing, conformity and fear. 🌈🏳️⚧️

Take what you want from this.
Nobody is saying that trans criminals don’t exist. They do.
What we’re saying is that law abiding trans people shouldn’t be held accountable for, or their legal protections removed, owing to the behaviour of criminals. We don’t do this for any other group of people.
So @jk_rowling is throwing a tantrum on Twitter because she couldn’t leverage her wealth to influence Scottish law.
This is a good sign. The tide is turning on the establishment and that working classes do not have to submit to millionaires.
LGBTQIA+ rights 🎉
JK Rowling casually dropping her loose change on a crowdfund to change the definition of sex in the Equality Act, which would strip trans people of their legal protections & cause untold suffering.
Rowling’s transphobia is blisteringly clear.
Don’t think I’ll ever be able to forgive everyone who spent a week debating if Israel had attacked a hospital, but is now silent after Israel destroyed the functionality of all 36 of Gaza’s hospitals.
