Most arts degrees were always risky and ill advised unless you had money already.

Usually the best way to justify the cost was to get your masters and be a professor. There weren't very many paying jobs for those degrees.

Also, if you want to be an artist of any kind you don't need college.

The thing is, it's hard out there. College is expensive. So make it count. I definitely think there should be an emphasis on majors that will give you the chance to provide for yourself.
