@1goodtern Though that said, visiting in hospital a lot this week. For every damn fool visiting with a cough or cold, there are two wearing a mask. (In public, not surgical, areas). Surprised how common it is here.
@1goodtern I was for high suppression until learning about wild animal pool of virus. Am still for massive investment in filtration, masks in crowded spaces, home if symptomatic, investment in research in harms caused by infection. But admit am fatigued by staying vigilant seemingly alone.
@DHSCgovuk@wesstreeting When the skill & staffing gap caused by taskification and decreased training positions, and mass emigration of resident drs, becomes highly problematic for a generation or two, it will be called the Streeting Effect.
@Euan_MacDonald@StateDept But he bitches that the global reach is altruistic and not for the benefit of USA also (?primarily).
Only MAGA voters believe this, or anything he says.
@StateDept NATOβs mandate is about DEFENCE not Offence.
You say to protect βthemβ but whine when that investment isnβt being used for your assault, acknowledging that its intention is dual purpose - USAβs interests too.
You have been limited in your support of NATO allies of Ukraine.
@theveindoc@TheSnoozeDoctor@wesstreeting Yes, but in politicians minds if you dilute the workforce with people who have come from a worse situation, they will better tolerate poor conditions for patients and staff in UK, protest less and more readily accept stealth privatisation.
@TheSnoozeDoctor@wesstreeting Ireland is struggling to recruit in some specialties. English language, not far, qualifications and training mutually recognised afaik. Housing and cost of living will make you weep tho.
@1goodtern So sad, all the vax conspiracy theorists are increasing the risk of this. The psychological need to bang the drum of nonsense escapes me. I hope it can be identified and addressed soon.
