Makers of real-life games that are easy to play and hard to forget. Citydash, Raiders of the Lost Archive, Le Carré's The Circus, Cambridge Codebreakers & more.
Fire Hazard have been AMAZING & Im so sorry to see them go. They made a (mini) dream come true by letting me play a WW2 fighter pilot with an authentic plane @RAFMUSEUM
I know they'll all be working on awesome, individual projects moving forwards! Here's to @FireHazardGames 🍻
And last but not least: our brilliant, talented and amazing crew of actors, writers and stage managers - too many to list or show here. It has been an honour and a pleasure to work alongside them. We wish them all the best and are happy to recommend every single one.
This is Fire Hazard Games' last week of operations. Last week, we brought you a retrospective of all the games we've made during the years. Now, we turn the spotlight on to our amazing team.
Our founder, Gwyn, returned to the world of IT consulting, where there's a bit less running and screaming, but still opportunities to make things happen. He's still making hobby-scale real-world games and immersive experiences. Find him at https://t.co/wfydizJAAM or @gwynmorfey
These are hard times. We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. We're very sad that we've had to cancel the last week of our immersive game Jekyll & Hyde at @VAULTFestival (and we feel for everyone else at the festival), but the safety of our crew and players comes first.
We're almost at the end of our retrospective of Fire Hazard Games. In the last year, we've been focusing on developing strategies to incorporate narrative into real-world games.
And finally, the very last game we made... Jekyll & Hyde, which you can still play at @VAULTFestival! This non-competitive game set in Waterloo tells a dark and twisted tale inspired by the Robert Louis Stevenson classic.
Finally, we have John Le Carre’s The Circus, created in partnership with @TheInkFactory. This game puts players into a Smiley-inspired role of a Cold War spy-in-training.
We continue our retrospective today with two variants of our original game, Citydash! Starting with Love Letters - a romance-themed street game made for the Valentine season.
Perhaps our most ambitious game yet - The Hunted Experience! A paranoia fuelled live-action version of the popular TV series, created in partnership with Endemol Shine. We even had an escape room style of puzzle in a surveillance van for this one!
