Barack and Michelle Obama, please shut your mouths and go away.
Are you kidding me? Y’all are crying about slavery, racism, and George Washington owning slaves right before America’s 250th birthday. Give me a break.
Y’all should be praising America for all the opportunities this country gave you instead of always trying to divide Black and white people and make everyone hate this country.
This is exactly why I put George Washington on my Cousin T’s America 250 Pancake Box. His legacy is much bigger than owning slaves. He fought for independence and helped create the greatest country in the world.
I love America, and I’m proud to celebrate it.
If you would like to order a box, the link is in the comments. We also have gluten-free mixes, syrup, jams, jellies, and more.
Huge mistake for politicans to get involved even theoretically with a massive decision for world cup- even if red card was wrong, changing approach will put doubt on a team that didnt need it
🚨 Folarin Balogun is eligible to play against Belgium.
FIFA sources had insisted US Soccer had no appeal. Sources say US Soccer did not attempt one as a result.
And Balogun had spoken on Monday here in Seattle about missing the game telling us, “I have to accept it…”
Yet FIFA have decided to hand Balogun a suspended one-game ban, which is in their powers as per Article 27. The red card stands but Balogun is free to play.
Cristiano Ronaldo also given a suspended ban before the tournament allowing him to play Portugal’s opening World Cup games.
1. It was never a red card
2. The decision was an improper use of VAR
3. Multiple players at this World Cup had studs up challenges (including against us) unpunished
4. The optics of the White house getting involved are bad but the decision is the correct one
Dear US-Americans, should the USMNT win against Belgium, be sure that the whole world knows, that they did so by cheating, by corruption and dishonest, no matter if Balogun plays or not.
It'll hurt the image of the US more, then everything that deranged Orange did so far.
The amount of crying coming out of Belgium right now is insane. My roommate in college was from Belgium. They have good chocolate But let us not forget they declared neutrality in both World War 1 and WW2 and got conquered twice in short order just like they will be conquered tomorrow night. Sometimes might makes right. Without the USA there probably is no Belgium or World Cup at all or at the very least it’s a 3 team tournament consisting of the United States, Germany and Japan. So yes when one of our best players is wrongly suspended its clearly in the best interest of world sport for that decision to be reversed
FIFA has done this before in these situations. This isn’t some unprecedented exception.
Red card suspensions have been overturned before, and they’ll be overturned again when FIFA determines the circumstances warrant it. No matter how much some European and South American fans insist otherwise, history says they’re wrong.
They can complain all they want. A bad decision was corrected, and the tournament is better for it. 😎🇺🇸
The difference between Belgium and the United States is that in the United States we always want to beat the best. The US Mens team wouldnt have even taken the field if Belgiums best player was unfairly suspended. Apparently Belgium wants the easy way out Very sad European behavior
Balogun's early return from a red card isn't even the first we've seen in THIS World Cup 👀
FIFA suspended the final two games of a three-match suspension for Cristiano Ronaldo after a VAR review saddled him with a red card in Portugal's penultimate qualifying match vs. Republic of Ireland.
Ronaldo would've otherwise had to miss Portugal's first two games of the tournament.
I won’t apologize for justice being served. The amount of Europeans increasing my engagement this World Cup has been so entertaining.
Never found it this easy to get people going.
They weren’t ready for American sports twitter. 😎🇺🇸
This is insane.
This is the first time a red card has been overturned in the World Cup in over 60 years.
Even if you think the red card wasn’t legitimate, this is clearly a political, corrupt decision by FIFA.
“Bad” calls happen all the time, and they’re never overturned.
Imagine if the Canadian 🇨🇦 Prime minister decided that the Morocco vs Canada result was unfair and insisted the game must be replayed, and then the game was replayed. That’s basically the equivalent to this
The fact that this was allowed is a complete disgrace to football
Belgium, you need to save football
Just refuse to play
FIFA will lose millions of dollars. Broadcaster and sponsors will be furious
And that is all that counts to them
