जंतरमंतरवरचा युवक-युवतींचा संताप फार आश्चर्यकारक नाही. गेल्या १२ वर्षांत केंद्र सरकारनं “शिक्षण” ह्या गोष्टीला फार कमी महत्व दिलं, हे त्यांनी त्यासाठी किती पैसे बाजूला ठेवले होते ह्यात दिसतं.

सध्याची राजवट सत्तेत आली तेंव्हा एकूण अर्थसंकल्पाच्या ४.६% पैसा शिक्षणासाठी बाजूला ठेवला जायचा. २०२५-२६ मध्ये ही टक्केवारी आहे २.५%.

हे खरं आहे की पैसा खर्च करणं म्हणजे शिक्षणाची गुणवत्ता सुधारणं होत नाही, परंतु निदान अर्थसंकल्पात तरी पैसा राखून ठेवायला हवा होता.

वास्तविक इतक्या मोठ्या प्रमाणावर देशात आकांक्षी तरूण वर्ग असताना त्यांच्या शिक्षणाच्या गुणवत्तेकडे आणि रोजगाराकडे डोळ्यात तेल घालून लक्ष हवं होतं, पण ते घडलं नाही.
