Meta is adding a monthly usage limit to one of its smart glasses features.
> Conversation Focus, which helps you hear people more clearly in noisy places, will now be limited to 3 hours per month for free users.
> To get up to 15 hours per month, users will need a Meta One Premium subscription, which costs $19.99 a month.
Users are mad because Conversation Focus works directly on the glasses and doesn’t require an internet connection. Some users have questioned why a feature that runs on the device now has a monthly limit.
Meta says this is the only feature affected “for now.” Other AI features, including the voice assistant, live translation, and “Look and Ask,” will remain free.
