Elitist TVK & Congress!

Mr. Karti Chidambaram’s or rather the propaganda of the Congress party on #Delimitation is not going to work.

DMK’s only concern is, TN should not lose its political heft in terms of percentage of seats. Population should not be the basis for Delimitation. #FairDelimitation is our war cry.

They say #NoDelimitation which isn’t a constitutional possibility. They are not bothered whether Tamilnadu gets a good deal or not. They say the number of seats should not increase. Why?
Cos they are a bunch of elitists.
I have become an MP, so curtail everyone else’s chances.
If more number of seats are there, more number of people from the SC, ST community will become MPs.
Why does the Congress and TVK want to stall this?

Only cos Congress cannot find candidates to contest if the seats are increased they are fighting this.
TVK & Congress say #NoDelimitation out of political calculations rather than welfare of Tamilnadu.

மேலும், விவசாயிகளின் கோரிக்கைகளை வலியுறுத்திப் போராடியதற்காக, த.வெ.க. அரசின் காவல் துறை, மாண்புமிகு எதிர்க்கட்சித் தலைவர் அவர்களைக் கைதுசெய்தது, மிகுந்த வருத்தத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியதாகவும் அவர்கள் வேதனை தெரிவித்தனர்.

இந்தக் கூட்டு இயக்கத்தில் உள்ள 84 விவசாய அமைப்புகளும், த.வெ.க. அரசு பயிர்க்கடனை முழுமையாகத் தள்ளுபடி செய்யாமல் விவசாயிகளை வஞ்சிப்பதைக் கண்டித்து, பல்வேறு பகுதிகளில் தொடர் போராட்டம் நடத்திவருகிறார்கள்.

அந்த வகையில், தங்களுடைய போராட்டத்திற்குத் தொடர்ந்து ஆதரவு அளிக்கமாறும், சட்டமன்றத்தில் குரல் எழுப்புமாறும் அவர்கள் கேட்டுக்கொண்டனர்.

முத்தமிழறிஞர் கலைஞர் வழியில், கழகத் தலைவரின் வழிகாட்டுதலில், சட்டமன்றத்திலும் மக்கள் மன்றத்திலும் தொடர்ந்து குரல் கொடுப்போம் என்றும், விவசாயிகளுக்கு என்றும் உற்றத்துணையாக இருப்போம் என்றும், மாண்புமிகு உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலின் அவர்கள் விவசாயச் சங்கப் பிரதிநிதிகளுக்கு உறுதி அளித்தார்.

Several Christian dignitaries called on me at my residence today and expressed their appreciation for the efforts being undertaken by the DMK in opposing the #FCRA Amendment Bill.

கிறித்துவ சமயப் பெரியோர்கள் பலர் இன்று எனது இல்லத்தில் என்னைச் சந்தித்து, #FCRA திருத்த மசோதாவை எதிர்த்து தி.மு.க. மேற்கொண்டு வரும் முயற்சிகளுக்குத் தங்களது பாராட்டையும் நன்றியையும் தெரிவித்தனர்.

The delegation of the Joint Action Forum on Minorities, led by our MP Thiru. @PWilsonDMK and including top religious leaders from various denominations in India, met the Hon'ble Home Minister on 6.8.2026.

They urged the Hon'ble Minister to withdraw the #FCRA Amendment Bill 2026, introduced in the Lok Sabha in March 2026, and to repeal Section 15 of FCRA or refer the Bill, along with a comprehensive review of the workings of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010, to a Joint Parliamentary Committee.

The DMK, which has opposed the provisions of the proposed Bill from the very beginning due to their far-reaching implications, endorses this request.

I appeal to the Union Government to consider the Forum’s plea in the interests of the minorities’ rights and take necessary steps in the ongoing #MonsoonSession of the Parliament.

The Christian leaders appreciated Thiru M.K. Stalin for taking up this cause against the FCRA Amendment Bill 2026, introduced by the Union Government in March 2026, and for being at the forefront of the fight to protect minority and constitutional rights from the day the bill was introduced. They also appreciated my unstinting work, activities, and sustained efforts as chairman of the Joint Action Forum on minorities in bringing together religious leaders, civil society, and institutions to raise a collective voice against the proposed FCRA (Amendment) Bill, 2026.

The delegation thanked Thiru M.K. Stalin for his continued unwavering support. It urged the withdrawal of the FCRA (Amendment) Bill, 2026, along with the repeal of Section 15 of the FCRA Act, 2010, or, in the alternative, its reference to a Joint Parliamentary Committee for detailed examination.

Thiru M.K. Stalin assured the delegation that the DMK will stand firmly with minorities and take every necessary step to protect their rights and constitutional freedoms.
