1. Have your evacuation plan before you need to leave. Have multiple places where you and your pets can stay. Know your evacuation routes. Keep a go bag.

๐งตI am posting this link everywhere that I can. Unfortunately, the NY Times has not removed the paywall on this article, so I will summarize its recommendations to save you home. Iโm adding a few of my own suggestions at the end. Please repost!

1. Look at your vegetation and consider if it is appropriate. Eucalyptus trees smell lovely and burn fast. Same with a lot of pine trees.
2. When you see emergency vehicles, PULL OVER and let them through.
@thewoman62@marwilliamson Unfortunately the current legal process is too slow and doesnโt allow enough people in to meet our labor needs. It needs to be reformed, but the big business owners like the cheap labor so oppose it.
Trump regularly hired undocumented workers to build his buildings.
@OortCloudRanger@marwilliamson The solution is not mass deportation but changes to our immigration system so that the undocumented and paid the same as those here legally and US citizens. If we can get them documented, then we can tax them, get them legal drivers licenses and everyone gets paid fairly.
@politicalblond@marwilliamson Yes, they do pay FICA, Medicare, sales and minimal income tax. They pay FICA knowing that they will never collect Social Security benefits. If they were documented and filed tax returns, they would possibly pay a bit more. Driving legally would incur some additional tax.
@BrettFavre You've confused God and Satan. God loves the immigrant, heals the sick, feeds the hungry.
Then again, you like to steal from the poor, so maybe you're not the best source of information about God.
