@DidiMegaDudu@superbgamer5225@javidemexico@rubysapphrald that could be it! but that scene could be out-of-order with the story we see, or, way later or earlier. we see the two coworker's shoes for example when clark is in the room with the throne chair before they even know about the place. time means very little in there lol
@F0olk@riotheguy i agree with you, but dates mean absolutely nothing. like, we see the interrogator guy 10+ years younger from the scene where he's watching tv with his family to the final scene. all sorts of time shenanigans, as one person put it, "there's no time in the backrooms."
@peytonpearson@sophieistired_@EyesTorti i'm betting when that first cutout got smashed, clark obviously was in front of the camera right before. they see that and go "huh new guy in the complex?" then when the researcher seems him on the tv screen, he goes "oh i know this guy!! maybe a null zone is in the store?"
@peytonpearson@sophieistired_@EyesTorti that's very true. honestly just betting it was redacted for just about everyone besides the top brass, so the people sent to try and figure out who clark is only got photos of him, with the captain blacked out. makes me really curious why they cared so much about clark?
@peytonpearson@sophieistired_@EyesTorti well they aren't a gov org, they're an independent company that's given proposals to the department of energy. also i'm not sure! because kane has said async isn't a truly evil company, sometimes ignorant or dumb but it's not amazon lol
@peytonpearson@sophieistired_@EyesTorti yeah! it must be a photo before capture, so heavily redacted. also, what would be the point of her seeing the captain again? i wouldn't want to see the 9 foot tall ghoul that almost killed me again.
@javidemexico@rubysapphrald but that would be silly? if they know clark came and went several times, why would they send her to a place where she has a chance to escape? better to kill her, imprison or, my personal fav, keep her on the async team as a therapist and a firsthand survivor account.
@superbgamer5225@javidemexico@rubysapphrald or, you don't have to wear the same clothes you had on in the backrooms in order for that fit to be copied. clark never wore a pirate costume in there, and yet his copy had one. i think the copy of her was just in the interrogation moment
@shlorgsquare i was thinking the exact opposite, that this is before it has something to copy. think of it as a blank template with nothing to mimic yet, just the vague frame of a human not yet loaded
