Furthermore, from my research, the Velcro for name, branch, rank above the chest pockets were an uncommon modification done by soldiers that were issued these in Iraq. Also there seems to be initials written on the inside of the collar above the neck tag. Very cool to see these!

To complement the CCU trousers I got, I finally received a CCU blouse! Small-long dated 2003. Even has a 2nd ID patch attached! So stoked to have completed this very rare uniform!

A woodland enhanced hot weather battle dress uniform from the 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the Hawaiian National Guard, although the trousers are probably not part of the set due to the different surname. Blouse medium-long dated 1993, trousers medium-regular dated 1995.

Received one of my dream pieces. These are Close Combat Uniform (CCU) trousers. Only about 8,000 sets were made and tested by elements of the 2nd Infantry Division in Iraq in late 2003 - 2004 for a new uniform cut that would become the ACU. Just need the top now!

Got a nice used pair of ESS goggles to use alongside my SWD goggles. The ESS goggles replaced the SWD goggles starting around the early 2000s however the SWD goggles did continue seeing use during that time.

Got a VERY nice RAID mod DCU blouse. The RAID mod consists of removing the blouse’s lower pockets (or use a spare set) and sewing them onto the arms usually with Velcro. Large-Long dated 2000 with theatre made name and branch tapes!
