More than 20 billion Iraqi dinars, approximately $15.5 million, and quantities of gold are found in the home of Iraqi MP Alia Nassif following her arrest, along with her son who served as office director of former Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani.

#BREAKING: Baghdad’s Green Zone has been locked down as military has been deployed with reports of raids on the residences of officials - The New Region’s Baghdad correspondent
💡Do you know?
Deniz Undav is a Kurdish Yazidi with roots in Southeastern Turkey.
He is the first footballer of Yazidi heritage to represent Germany at a major tournament.
So, you think you can solve the Middle East by this approch! Or you think you have solved the problem in Syria and are now ready to move on to Iraq.
The approach you are using is the same state-centric model that Britain used a century ago and ignored the realities of the peoples in the Middle East. The result was fueled generations of conflict, genocide across the Middle East.
You may think that diverse ethnic and religious communities can simply be forced under the authority of a centralized state! History of Middle East has approved that otherwise.
Look at Syria. With Turkey, you left it in the hands of ISIS, while other communities, including Kurds, Druze, Alawites, Christians, and others, continue to face persecution, displacement, and existential threats.
You are giving wrong policy to the United States. Soon or later, the US politicians realize choosing you as their envoy was a mistake.
Such an approach may offer short-term advantages for the current U.S. administration, but it risks creating long-term instability that could haunt the region for decades, and may be more costly to the US. One day the US realize they lost all their minority allies in the region because of you!
Also, Iraq and Syria are not the same, nor do they share the same political realities.
Try not to give the US policies through the lens of Turkey and your Arab Sunni mindset!
🚨 KURDISH PRISONER IN AL-JOLANI’S “NEW SYRIA”
An SDF fighter released from captivity says prisoners were beaten, tortured with electric shocks, and forced to pray.
“When we did not pray, they electrocuted us.”
This is the “new Syria” the world is being told to accept. @RudawKurdi
Kurdish residents of Istanbul chanted “Who are we? We are Kurds” after Amedspor, a Kurdish football club, secured promotion to the Turkish Super League.

~The United States, for its part, is sending an equally clear message: it is prepared for either outcome. For years, Iran has relied on time, ambiguity, and incremental concessions to navigate pressure from Washington. The Islamabad ultimatum suggests that strategy may no longer be viable.
The talks proved that the United States is willing to negotiate for 21 hours. But they also made clear that it is no longer willing to negotiate indefinitely. The choice now rests with Tehran. And for the first time in years, Washington appears perfectly comfortable if the answer is no.

These are not just mass graves.
They are stories that were never finished.
Families that never returned.
We remember the Anfal Genocide, a campaign where 182000 innocent Kurdish people were killed, and buried alive by Saddam Hussein and Ba’ath Regime in 1988!

Despite Syrian Presidential Decree No. 13, which formally allows stateless Kurdish citizens to obtain Syrian citizenship, applicants are still required to register as Arab rather than Kurdish when completing the paperwork.
Kurdish civilians are being attacked by the #Iranian terrorist regime and its militias operating in #Iraq.
These strikes are often justified as “retaliation,” but in reality, they are hitting ordinary people and civilian areas.
This is not new. This a clear pattern that Iran and its militias continue to destabilize the region and put innocent lives at risk.
Last night, this married couple was killed in #Erbil by a drone that targeted their home, which was fired by one of #Iran’s #terrorist groups, and they left two little kids behind.
The #Iraqi government should be deeply ashamed of itself for not stopping the terrorist groups inside Iraq.
They are not just a local problem, they are a real threat to regional stability, to the security of the Middle East, and that threat cannot be ignored.
God Bless Kurdistan 💚🔆❤️
God Bless America 🇺🇸

Kurdish Peshmerga helped the world defeat ISIS—now under ballistic missile attack from Iran. Condolences to my Kurdish friends for these losses, and gratitude for our long partnership with Peshmerga across decades.
