Delighted that plans to regenerate St Catherine’s Place have been approved. Huge thanks to all local residents & retailers who supported us. We can’t wait to get started.

We are delighted to be working with @Firmstone_Dev to help them reinstate @StCatherinesBS3 as a thriving neighbourhood in the heart of south Bristol. Find out more about this new chapter in the story of Bedminster here: https://t.co/aOZbcIM5Jm
Good illustration in this @bristol247 report on this week's planning decision of just how finely balanced our proposals were., and how #Bedminster is losing out #BS3@Firmstone_Dev

@JakeBS3@helenhbristol No scheme is ever perfect esp regen ones. Own council appraisal said unviable, but 17% affordable homes proposed by developer, plus £ms for infra etc. I despair as really cannot see another investor or any public body matching this. So decline continues...
Very sad for the people of Bedminster. It was a great opportunity for BCC to demonstrate their support and awareness of the issues facing East St and to kick-start investment in the area.
Disappointed latest proposals for St Catherine's Place refused. What happens next? Does the #Bedminster area lose the affordable homes, £ for public transport, indie cinema, jobs & £ for environment? If no £50m for our area inc £5m for tired retail arcade, who will now invest?
Pleased Bristol’s planning committee has seen the real gains for the city our St Catherine’s Place proposals will deliver, but disappointed we can’t move ahead yet. Keen to sort out outstanding transport issues ASAP after today’s deferral. Full response: https://t.co/jzEINdkmQa
“Just what the area needs to help rejuvenate and bring new life to the area.”

Catherine's House resident says new regeneration proposals "will make this a safe & attractive place to live. Currently it can be quite lonely & intimidating. I really want to see lots more people living here, shopping & going out – making it feel safe & vibrant" #Bedminster#BS3
Gary, owner of @TheBristolLoaf - voted Bristol's best bakery - wants to open a new shop in St Catherine's Place and says "Our customers tell us how much difference having a great artisan bakery and café makes to their community. We would love to bring this to #Bedminster"
This year has seen us introduce you to some of Bedminster’s best loved characters, both old and new. We have learnt their stories and got to know the faces behind the places we visit everyday .... but now is the chance to have your say! Who is your #FOTHS?
Hoping to keep up the good work in #Bedminster#BS3 with our plans for St Catherine's Place - £500m to create 200 new homes, £5m shopping centre renovation, new cinema & public spaces. Started with this transformation of Catherine House from empty offices to brand new homes 👍
The difference the £5m transformation of St Catherine's Place shopping centre can make, part of £50m regeneration scheme for #Bedminster - bringing new homes, shops and safer, more inviting public space open into the evenings
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! 🎄 Have you spotted the new decorations going up in #BS3 yet? Keep your eyes peeled on the walls and windows of your favourite shops as we get in the festive spirit in #Bedminster!
"£5 million revamp to breathe new life into area" according to Bristol Post's Business section - outlining local business support & retailer interest in our proposals for St Catherine's Place #Bedminster#BS3@mark_bradshaw
