@firsideyear6 experienced an inspiring day @OutreachUEA learning about what university life is like and enjoying a wonderful performance of short classical pieces by the student orchestra. Then they let us have a go!
So lovely to see our pupils spreading kindness on Valentine's day. It is great to see the benefits of these visits for both our young people and the elderly people you care for โค
This is why we are proud to support @FriendInDeed_ Helping to spread kindness across the generations and reduce loneliness in care homes in our community.
Hereโs a little video of how our little visitors bring a smile to the older generation. Take a watch to see how Friend in Deed promote kindness in our community. If youโd like to get involved and volunteer with us head to our website: https://t.co/mLzJPFDMJg Filmed by @GMB
Weโre so pleased to announce that we have won The Community Award at the very first Good Morning Britain 1 Million Minutes awards. It means so much to us and weโre overwhelmed with the recognition of our work. Thank you to all of our supporters, we couldnโt do it without you ๐
What an absolutely incredible experience for our children. Thank you to all the staff who organised and supported the event and to all the parents who went along on the supporters coach. We hope you had a great day!๐ถ
Children from @firsideyear3 And @firsideyear5 enjoyed a visit to Thomas Tawell House today. They played games with the residents, read books and spent time getting to know them.
โI loved our visit. I loved playing games with them and talking to them to find out about their lives" said one student.
Today, children from @FirsideJunior school attended a session at Thomas Tawell House care home in Norwich, part of @VisionNorfolk#intergenerational
We had a lovely morning making our friends at Thomas Tawell House smile. One of the residents dressed up as Santa๐A student from Firside school who visited the home recently, came back with his sister and family to see the residents again โค๏ธ@VisionNorfolk@FirsideJunior
