ANSWER: Cervical cancer.
Any bleeding from a friable ulcer in the cervix is cancer until proven otherwise.
A young woman at 31 is 26 weeks pregnant.
She has had painless vaginal bleeding for the past 4 hours.
A speculum exam shows a 2cm friable ulcer in the cervix.
External os is 1cm dilated.
Internal os is close.
What is causing the bleeding?
