If I die fighting the Empire... I want to go down swinging. You find that amusing? / No, but... You and Luthen would have gotten along much better than you think. / May the Force be with you, Captain.
David Zaslav bids farewell to Warner Bros. employees in a video ahead of the official closing of the Warner Bros.-Paramount merger:
“For me, it’s been a great honor to be alongside all of you,” Zaslav says in the 3-minute video. “I hope you take pride in what you’ve built, what you’ve created, and the role you’ve played in shaping an extraordinary history. What’s past is prologue. The future waits for each and every one of you. For your spirit, your ingenuity, your creativity and your courage. I can’t wait to see what you do in the years ahead."

plz stop showing me these clips of Tony Gilroy elegantly talking about empires, fascism, and revolutions.. I can’t handle the whiplash of going from Andor to Star Wars made by the Deadpool guy :(
Andor writing is fr a masterpiece because the characters speak with no-bullshit natural stripped down dialogue the way people speak in real life but then they also hit you with like 20+ quotes throughout the show that feel like being shot in the chest with a bazooka
Episodes 1-6 worked because it was built on one man's passions, basically he was making movies for himself. The modern film making process is based on serving an imagined "fan", which is where it falls down, because Star Wars fans are cunts.
