First Score Boston focuses on a range of Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins topics. In front with objective sports opinions.

That Boutte trade looks very bad right now.

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

No media narrative. Clearly upset with Tatum. A very bitter man. It’s clear.

[Kris Rhim @krisrhim1]

Jaylen Brown on Jayson Tatum: “It’s no beef, but it might be little lamb chops and some gravy, you know what I mean?

“He should stay ready at all times.”

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

Ok fine but Tatum was a rookie at age 19. Bird was a rookie at 23. 4 extra years. Big difference.

Celtics close it out 107-103. Tatum big night with 36/9/7. George and Queta 15 points each, Looked like the old Tatum late. Took over the game. Good sign. #Celtics

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

Celtics 10 point lead going into 4th vs Knicks doesn’t feel good at all. Mazzulla ball coming up (chuck it and hope for the best).

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

Jayson Tatum has attempted 1 free throw this season. #Celtics

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

The narrative that Caleb Williams outplayed Drake Maye last night is off base. Switch the jerseys and the Bears win by 20. Patriots offense has below average talent across the board. Maye is the ONLY reason it was a close game.

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

@Greg4Reel @MarkDondero Didn’t realize Herbert guys are still out there. A dying breed. Not on same level as Maye.

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

Agreed. Bright future for Drake Maye despite some shaky moments this season. Thank you for giving fair opinions. Really enjoy your takes and shows.

[Mark Dondero @MarkDondero]

No.

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

Knicks in the bonus 4 1/2 minutes into the game. Ticky tack fouls and flopping. This is the modern NBA. #Celtics

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

@MattMcCarthy985 What’s your solution? Trade him?

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

@DanKelley66 @Brycen2047 And Brady had a great o line. Maye has guys coming up middle and on edge freely on most plays.

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

Would have loved to see this post when Brady was early on in career. They had the same amount of turnovers in first 38 games. Brady had a great line. Maye has guys up middle and of edge in his face as he fields the snap. The o line is terrible.

[Matt McCarthy @MattMcCarthy985]

Drake Maye, last 8 games:

141/237 (59.5%)
1,682 yards
10 passing TD
11 INT
12 fumbles
76 passer rating

Chad Bot would have taken Rasmussen out in the 5th inning.

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

Every pitching move Chad Tracy has made in this series has backfired. Every. Single. One. That 3 year extension matches the bad decisions in this mediocre organization. #RedSox

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

If Jahmai Jones gets a third AB fire Tracy when the game ends. #RedSox

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

Very odd that Roman Anthony could not stay with the team for one more day. Great teammate!

[Chris Cotillo @ChrisCotillo]

Roman Anthony was driven back to Boston last night and had imaging that revealed multiple new strains in his hand plus a re-aggravation of the old injury. He is out for the foreseeable future.

Name a Red Sox playoff lineup that was worse than this….

[Boston Strong @BostonStrong_34]

Red Sox @ Yankees WCG2
Jones DH
Rutschman C
Contreras 1B
Abreu RF
Rafaela CF
Durbin 3B
Sogard 2B
Story SS
Eaton LF
Gray RHP.

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

What an embarrassment. Two years in a row the Red Sox have Nate Eaton starting playoff games. Guy wasn’t even on the roster the majority of the last two seasons. And they just gave Breslow a three year extension? For this playoff lineup?!

[Tyler Milliken @tylermilliken_]

Tonight’s lineup for G2 of Red Sox @ Yankees:

1. Jahmai Jones DH
2. Adley Rutschman C
3. Willson Contreras 1B
4. Wilyer Abreu RF
5. Ceddanne Rafaela CF
6. Caleb Durbin 3B
7. Nick Sogard 2B
8. Trevor Story SS
9. Nate Eaton LF

Sonny Gray vs. Max Fried. 8:15 first pitch on NBC.

[First Score Boston @FirstScoreBOS]

@DanKelley66 Tatum is better than Pierce. Pierce was never a top 5 player in the league.
