Recently, there have been far too many cases of children going missing, being abused, raped, and molested. It is heartbreaking and deeply concerning.

In Kayole, residents who approached me alleged that a man had recently been arrested for allegedly molesting young boys. They further claimed that investigators found over 300 photos of young boys on his phone. This raised serious concerns among residents, who questioned why he would possess such a large number of photographs of children who were not related to him.

As a society, we must do more to protect our children. It is high time we all stepped up and became vigilant. Do not remain silent when you see a child suffering, being mistreated, neglected, abused, or at risk of harm. Report such cases to the relevant authorities immediately.

The safety and well-being of our children is a collective responsibility.
