Can you imagine this level of abuse of office? It now turns out that Anita Among spent 532 million shillings of our tax payers' money to fence and purchase compound lights for her private home in Bukedea District! (For context, Bukedea is one of the poorest districts in Uganda.)
It also turns out that Anita Among and her deputy Tayebwa spent another 591 million shillings to purchase two generators for their private homes!
Very sadly, while this plunder was going on, the leaders we sent to check and stop it were bribed into silence and joined the looters!
This madness will only come to an end when WE THE PEOPLE rise to the occasion and put an end to the Museveni dictatorship!
Self-exiled Ugandan opposition leader Bobi Wine tells @jennzaba he is urging US senators to press for targeted sanctions against his country’s octogenarian leader, who’s just been sworn in for a seventh term in office https://t.co/d3TXcPUGij
@AJEnglish We continue to reject the fake results. We voted @HEBobiwine as our president
Museveni using his appointed fake electoral commission chairman declared himself,
I repeat, @HEBobiwine is the elected president of UGANDA
Fellow Ugandans,
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of our dear sister and comrade, Edith Katende Mufumbiro, the wife of our Deputy Spokesperson, Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro.
Edith passed on after 3:00am today following a hard-fought battle with cancer. At the time of her passing, her dear husband Waiswa remains detained at Luzira Upper Prison for no crime whatsoever. His only crime is speaking out against injustice and misrule.
The criminal regime placed on him and others the sham charge of "Unlawful Drilling" which apparently took place on 12th February 2025 at our Party Headquarters. In fact, on that day, Waiswa never stepped there as he was at Mulago Cancer Institute with the wife! The judiciary, fully aware of these facts, has chosen to conspire in this persecution.
Waiswa, alongside other comrades, has applied for bail severally. He has variously made an impassioned plea to the Court to be released on bail so that he takes care of his sick wife, but it has been denied. The injustice!
As difficult as it is, we remain hopeful that we shall overcome some day. May God grant the family, especially our brother Waiswa, the strength he needs at this time.
RM @RepGregoryMeeks: It was an honor to reunite with Bobi Wine, whose tireless pursuit of a free, democratic Uganda has inspired millions around the world. His leadership of a nonviolent struggle to end Uganda's crackdown on political opposition groups and strengthen human rights provides important guideposts for the US-Uganda partnership.
40 days ago, Museveni yet again usurped the will of the people of Uganda and declared himself winner of a sham election on gunpoint. The military continues to surround and occupy my home. Museveni’s criminal son continues to issue threats against me and other Ugandans opposed to his father's illegitimate rule. Yesterday, they did the unthinkable and blocked prayers at Lubaga Cathedral. Amidst all this, I am sending this message to all of us to continue being resilient and exercise the highest level of faith that our country will be free. I thank every Ugandan who has protected me from the evil criminals over the past 40 days.

@HEBobiwine HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAATA🎂🎉 @HEBobiwine
On this special day, we celebrate not just your birth,
but the courage you chose to carry.
You became a voice where silence was safer,
a light where darkness was easier,
a symbol of hope where fear once bring you
strength in moments of doubt
From my lonely hideout, I've spent the day reading the many beautiful birthday messages. Thank you, friends, for the outpouring of love and encouragement. I’m really humbled🙏🏾❤️
I’m grateful to God for the gift of life, for the friends and family that He has surrounded me with, and for the many second chances I have had in life.
For whatever we have accomplished, that was the almighty God working through us. The glory goes to Him. For the mistakes and missteps along the way, that's mine. I take responsibility while struggling to improve.
Cheers to a new age and a new page.
May the rest of our days be the best of our days.
You took on a responsibility that came with loads of challenges, but you continue to endure all those challenges with grace and commitment. We celebrate your resilient leadership, even in the toughest of times.
Happy birthday Mr. President @HEBobiwine may God give you strength, and the ability to keep on keeping on, regardless what is thrown at you!
REBELS: The situation at Magere demands utmost restraint from all of us—FOR NOW.
Junta hardliners are DELIBERATELY PROVOKING confrontation—setting the stage for a premeditated crackdown.
The junta is inviting resistance that it is fully prepared to quash.

A group of masked, armed soldiers has just broken into our house and beat up my family members. They have currently isolated my wife, Barbie Kyagulanyi, alone. Their intentions are unclear!
I am not free. My home is still under siege, and the criminal regime is trying to hunt me down. And yet, three out of my four Deputy Presidents are also in detention!
My Deputy President for Northern Uganda, Dr. Lina Zedriga Waru is still missing, having been abducted from her home on 15th January.
My Deputy President for Western Uganda, Hon. Jolly Jacklyn Tukamushaba is still missing, having been abducted from Rukiga District on 14th January.
My Deputy President for Central Region, Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi was today arrested and he's being currently held at Kira Division Police.
As the persecution intensifies, may be remain rooted in hope and faith, that our struggle - the Ugandan struggle - will end in victory..

In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera from hiding, Uganda’s opposition leader Bobi Wine says he escaped a raid on his home after a disputed presidential election, which he claims was rigged.
I know how everyone feels about elections right now, but to not vote for leaders today would be to surrender all remaining positions to the dictator. Please go out there and vote! The Lord Mayor, District Chairpersons and L.C.5. Councillors are voted for today!
