An ancient wheel cross from St Crallo's Church, Coychurch, Bridgend in Glamorgan, Wales. is shown on the plinth on which it stands in the old graveyard, with the words IMAGO DEI inscribed on it. This translates to mean the "IMAGE OF GOD" and has its roots in Genesis 1:27, wherein "God created man in his own image. . ."
