Obviously this is terrible on its face

Pete Rose was banned for life for less

But what gets me is the hubris

Two of the game's biggest stars, just casually betting hundreds of dollars on games they will both play in, star in, have a central role in, and doing so on camera, no big deal

And then these same people turn around and bemoan the toxicity they get online from sports bettors

One thing is for sure

If this were Caitlin making these bets I guarantee there would be a large push to ban her from the entire WNBA from certain corners

I'm not going that far

But I do think all of this is part and parcel of a larger problem, which is the problematic relationship between the WNBA and gambling

It's gotta be addressed

We just saw the Fever lose to Phx after CC left the game, they had the lead when she went out. The Fever average 7 more PPG with CC. That's a big difference. The numbers don't lie.
