What an amazing ending to an incredible week! Detroit Digital Inclusion Week concluded at Fisher Upper with Youth, Tech & Innovation Day. Activities included hands-on opportunities for students, as well as an engagement and Q&A session with a panel of professionals in the field.
This week our students participated in Basketball Drill Unified Day. This was a single-day, less competitive opportunity for students to experience the power of Unified sports.
We would like to thank the Ford Resource and Engagement Center, Men of Courage Ford Fund, and the nearly 100 volunteers that welcomed our students back to school. Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist, Councilmen Coleman A. Young II and James Tate, and a host of volunteers.

Fisher Upper Social Studies teacher Carl Brownlee was acknowledged today by Michigan’s State Board of Education, and State Superintendent Dr. Michael Rice. #teacheroftheyear2022 Region 10.
It’s always wonderful to fellowship with our sister school @LowerFisher. One of our faith based partners led the Fisher Lower and Upper Community in prayer. We are ready for the 2021-2022 school year!
