@Qaphsiel @sasha_banichek @RealPostFolder Thats a misread. Im saying its wrong that "anyone" AKA all should get half, not EVERYONE contributes or contributes equally, some are just parasites. I had added the statement "not all, but some" to hopefully make clear mine wasnt a blanket statement either.

@Qaphsiel @sasha_banichek @RealPostFolder If you were just giving your anecdotal PoV, so be it, but my point was that its wrong to make the blanket statement "Anyone who forgoes employment to make a home is contributing just as much as the bread winner." Thats simply not true & I dont think it should be automatically 1/2

@Patty1358 @catmartinez01 @didem5654 I disagree this interferes with thinking. There's at least two valid answers, 185 & 187, and there may be more. We learn the different possibilities by people explaining how they got their answer. Maybe there are even more solutions we haven't thought of yet

Thats different than saying everything should be split even if its the woman that is the primary earner.

Why in your scenario do women get half of the man's assets if he does wrong, but the man only gets to separate and sue for damages? Thats different punishments for the same offense.
