I lifted for years but now focus on moving well. Kickboxing showed me how stiff I was. Despite strength, I was always sore. It was tough at first, but got easier. I still lift, now balancing strength and mobility. I feel much better, and my past training built the base I needed.
Some of the mobility drills I use before leg day as warm up and whenever I feel tight and stiff.
• Lunge to hamstring stretch
• 90/90 rotations
• 90/90 get-ups
• Cossack squats
• Squat to kneel
