We have to keep talking about Palestine, we must keep the issue alive. I've been listening to many incredible talks and podcasts about the history of Zionism, the end of the First World War and the international designs that were going on. Russia actually wanted Constantinople, then you had France and Britain all vying for the remnants of the Ottoman Empire. And the European Zionist colonial project looked at these conditions as a huge opportunity: a perfect storm. You can start to see how that fits into the history of the area - there is more going on below the surface than we might imagine. It's a quagmire.
