This week's #CreatureFeature is the monarch butterfly 🦋 Easily identifiable for their vibrant orange colour, these beautiful butterflies are the only butterfly known to have a two-way migration like birds!

This week's #CreatureFeature is the American toad. 🐸 In Ontario, you'll find only two toad species. American toads are found in a wide variety of terrestrial habitats, from gardens to heavily forested areas. Their thick skin helps prevent dehydration.

Have you ever wondered why some years the leaves look more vibrant? While the changing colours are mainly a result of reduced sunlight, temperature and climate also factor in to how much the colours pop! Trees have different colour pigments, which determines their fall colour!🍁
