Thanks for letting me stop out tonight Coach Durbin, appreciate you as a coach, but even more so as a friend. Always fun to be in St Joe & check out the Bennies. Look forward to seeing you again soon @CSBBasketball
Keep an eye on Annika Schafer of @CSBBasketball. The 6'0" Sophomore Forward out of Eastview feels like one of those players that may be on the verge of a big step forward. Making plays & gets herself in the right spot at the right times, heady frontcourt talent.
Alyssa Sadloovsky (Junior/Pierz High School) looks every bit a double-figure scoring this coming season for @CSBBasketball. Three point threat off wing who blends her shooting as multi-level scorer.
Couple of Freshman that I've been impressed with so far at @CSBBasketball are PG Clara Goodman, no surprise there, she's been extremely well coached in HS & AAU & is an established lead Guard, Grace Mostad of Northfield, Liz Vitt from Edina & Sophia Amundson who played at Two Rivers. Like I said, this is a strong & talented Freshman group.
Great footwork is as big a separator as athleticism in basketball. Both can create separation for clean looks, if you have both, you have a great foundation as a player.
Part/Whole Teaching in preseason work tonight, with specific fundamentals then blended into breakdown sessions. Coach Durbin putting a smile on this old coaches face at @CSBBasketball practice.
Lauren Arnold & Drew Buslee are both back on perimeter for @CSBBasketball as double-figure scorers. Have been a fan of both of theirs since their HS/AAU days, very dangerous PG talents who blend their games well, allows CSB to always have a strong, veteran PG on the floor.
I'd expect @CSBBasketball to be right in the mix in a loaded MIAC this season. Have 4 starters back among a strong core of veterans & a very talented group of Freshman debuting this season.
Want to thank Coach Durbin, his staff & players at @CSBBasketball for letting me drop by practice tonight. Looking forward to seeing a very talented group getting primed for 2026-27!
This will be my 35th year (21 coaching, 14 evaluating) since I got into the non-playing portion of my basketball life.
I want to do it big. I am planning on doing coverage EVERY weekend beginning in November. I am willing to travel to events, but I need you to let me know where you're playing so I can see what works.
If you'd send me weekend events with at least 6 games if Saturday only or 10 or more games for Friday/Saturday (or longer events) I'd appreciate it & start posting my schedule as soon as possible.
Looking forward to a tremendous 2026-27 season!
