Unbelievable songwriting and performing talent, born of parents Kathy Najimy (wonderful comedic actor) and father Dan Finnerty (the world's most famous fucking wedding singer).
@iowahawkblog That's pretty amazing. I would say I could map out 1/5 of the states for my kids' performances, and just Belgium and France for international.
Also, Florida not big on live music? My kids played 3 sold out shows of 2k+ people opening for Say Anything down there in 2024.
@davidclowery@TheBandCracker In all seriousness my kids in @CircusTrees would be a perfect opener in Boston for you. Good base. Complementary sound. Good dad manager (me). Please check them out.
@redsteeze Given the artists you listed here, would you *please* consider listening to my kids' band Circus Trees? I am serious, Belly, St Vincent, Sigur Ros, Radiohead - if that is your music, then this is the next generation of it right here. Thank you.

@thegoblinzonemi I would appreciate it if you checked out @CircusTrees for a fit. I'm their dad. We just came back from an awesome time in Europe playing two festivals, and we definitely want to expand west from Boston in 2026/7.

@JonKatz79 Really? I mean, yes, its a great album. But not enough credit? I think its gotten plenty of credit over the years. Unless I am just surrounding myself with quality music listeners for the last few decades.
With the price of absolutely everything sky-rocketing, touring is close to becoming a luxury only well established artists & rich kids will be able to afford. I’m begging you, go to shows now. Buy that merch. Find your new favorite band. Celebrate live music before it’s too late.
@KathleenWinche3 John's Roast Beef in Lynn in the 80s: two juniors, extra sauce and cheese, large rings. The cure for any teenage hangover that would be coming the next day.
The band @CircusTrees produces their own music in my basement. I am not wealthy. They all work blue-collar jobs. I love them because they're my children so I went into debt to support them when they were young 🤣😭
Please buy their stuff, listen to their music, support the working class musician.
Rick Beato says rock died in 2012 after the financial collapse caused the working class to be removed from the music scene. Now it’s mostly highly produced wealthy people’s kids who can afford it.
@ThingsBandsSay So I can't extrapolate an opinion based on experience trying to introduce labels to bands? I have to "personally know people at a majority of labels"? Poor argument. Not worth going further with this discussion.
@ThingsBandsSay "Does new talent put in the time, effort, touring, grind?"
Yes, many I know of do this
Do a majority of labels put in the time, effort to evaluate new talent and actually see if they'd be a good fit, an amplifier, to their current portfolio?
I would say "No"
