@DTomljanovich To be honest, I am not sure if that is the proper name for them. There are none in ON. An example of one is Prarie Baseball Academy in Lethbridge. They run a baseball program for students at the local university and college and play out of the CCBC out West.
Did you play at Seneca or George Brown and now don't have a place to play? Send me a Direct Message if you would like to discuss or what your plans are? @GeorgeBrown @Seneca@Cen10_baseball
Recruiting for the 2026 "elite" season is in full swing, and not one game has been played in the 2025 season. Just seems crazy. It is also interesting that some programs are actually breaking league recruiting rules reaching out to players so early.
Congrats to Ryan. However, shame on @IntercountyBall and Brantford Minor Baseball. One of your players achieves something great and nothing on your website or social media. The kid deserves some recognition. @BaseballOntario centers wonder why kids don't stick around.

@AlBezaireLC@BallMechanic@The_App21 Thank you both for your engagement. I learned a lot. As a fan of Ontario baseball, I want to find ways to move it forward, not just sit back and complain about it.
Does the current 22U in Ontario environment prepare kids for the fall OUA/OCAA season? Are players getting enough innings/ABs to hit the ground running in Aug/Sep? If not, how can we make it better? Love to hear from coaches. @BallMechanic@AlBezaireLC@The_App21
@AlBezaireLC@BallMechanic@The_App21 What advise would you give your back up position player/depth pitcher who wants to come back in the fall and be a dude for you? Play as much as you can? Train?
When will middle-aged men realize that minor baseball is about the kids/players? Not about them, their accolades, or their ego. Ridiculous that a group is holding back kids from competing because they egos were bruised.
Exciting to see ON players' commitments. However, would love to see where the same players are 1-2 years later. Not to expose players, but to highlight which programs are looking to brag about their high level commitments rather than finding the best fit for a player
In saying that, I don't know why @TheOCAA level doesn't get more love in ON. A very similar season, scholarships and various educational opportunities from certificates to degrees.
The words "Parent Coach" have become a negative thing in the world of sports. However, the coach receiving the most attention in North America is a parent coach with 2 sons on his team. I would say he is coaching at a high level as well. Just an observation.
@BaseballOntario & affiliates: where is coverage/scores from the OBA Elimination tournaments? Youโve covered 18U @HppTigers winners and the Cdn 22U Bronze Medalists, @GuelphCreeks. 13U and 15U need exposure/coverage as they are also the demographic you want to retain.#PlayOBA??
PO at the HS level or below should be the players choice and should only happen when a player has elite stuff. A travel ball or HS coach should not make that decision. You never know when a player will figure it out. Let the college coach decide where they can help the team.

@Stiener13 It goes both ways. Coaches need to be more committed to their players. I see coaches forgetting about their small college commits. Calling up "studs" from lower age groups to try to win a game on a back field in the middle of no where, taking reps away from guys that need it.
