Our long-range responses work at different distances and in different domains, but always justly and in a way that deprives Russia of the resources to wage its vicious war.

Overnight, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck sites used for the storage, preparation, and launch of attack drones in the Oryol and Rostov regions. There were strikes on a military airfield in Yeysk and in the Black Sea. Our warriors also imposed long-range sanctions on an oil refinery in the Leningrad region that generates millions of dollars every month for Russia’s war budget. Effective long-range work over the course of this week has also been confirmed, including against facilities in Bashkortostan and the Arkhangelsk region.

Every day, Russia must feel that the war is returning to where it came from. And it is important that our long-range impact be complemented by new sanctions measures from our partners against Russia’s military infrastructure. The vast majority of the weapons the aggressor uses to terrorize Ukrainian cities and communities simply cannot function without thousands upon thousands of foreign components, chemicals, and machine tools. We constantly provide our partners with details of Russia’s sanctions-evasion schemes. I am grateful to everyone who helps shut them down.
