Glad to share that my co-authored work (with @ihsanylmz and @KainatShakil2) on Pakistan’s Islamic Populism is now published. This edited book by Prof Yilmaz has case studies from Europe, Middle East, South Asia and South East Asia. A comprehensive addition to lit on Populism.
If the Pakistani “Muslims” can stop Ahmadis from celebrating Eid, Indian Hindus are well within their rights to stop Indian Muslims from carrying out Qurbani. If the hurt sentiments of the majority matter in one place, they sure as hell matter in another place as well.
✍️🔖 The book “distinguishes itself from the proliferation of edited volumes on populism through its commitment to theoretical plurality and interdisciplinary dialogue,” Fizza Batool writes in her review of “Still the Age of Populism?”

I love my country with all my heart and I've never been more embarrassed for America than the spectacle I just witnessed in the Oval Office.
Zelensky is fighting for the survival of his country, his people and their democracy.

Zelensky should know that millions and millions of Americans still stand with him and his valiant people.
Is Tan Man Neel o Neel the best thing ever made on Pak TV?
I am not sure but it is the bravest thing ever made.
Mustafa Afridi is a brave man, every actor who even agreed to work on this is very very brave.
That last episode is something everyone should watch on a loop.
That's
I am shivering while writing this. #tanmanneeloneel was the best tribute we could give to all innocent lives we have lost to this so-called “blasphemy law”:
ہم کچلیں ہنستی روحیں، ہم توڑیں ان کی آس
نوکیلے پنجوں سے نوچیں خوابوں کا پھر ماس

Fearing rigging? Vote. Imagine Election Day as a room. With a low turnout, it's easier 4 ptntl manipulators 2 operate in the shadows, influencing votes or even entire polling stations unnoticed. But with a flood of voters, the room becomes illuminated. More 🗳️ = less rigging
