Newham Mayor Rokhsana Fiaz faces ongoing controversy as councillors accuse her of creating a "hostile" environment. Initially reported in 2022 with 18 complaints, the Eye can reveal at least three more complaints have been made since then.

Sources suggest the council won’t publish the result of a 2024 investigation because although it doesn’t identify a breach of the code, it doesn’t present Fiaz in a positive light either.
