@PatrickH144@aliceinempire@TakeMeMemory The point isn't to build society for people, it's to free people to build their own society.
It's achieved by education and solidarity then ultimately overthrowing the oppressive regimes.
Society cannot always be maintained peacefully. Our current society is far from peaceful.
@PatrickH144@aliceinempire@TakeMeMemory A handful of farmers โ half.
Communism is a stateless, classless society. There is no government to enforce the will of the "owners."
@PatrickH144@aliceinempire@TakeMeMemory What's this communist structure you're referring to?
Communism is just the rejection of private property and the freedom for a society to cooperate in a way that works best for it.
Don't look to China or the Soviet Union as examples of communism.
@PatrickH144@aliceinempire@TakeMeMemory This entire conversation is about how capitalism is a system of mass exploitation and violence against the majority of people. If you're having trouble following along, that's on you.
@PatrickH144@aliceinempire@TakeMeMemory On a scale that they could inflict their will upon an entire culture on the opposite side of the planet through bombing campaigns and political assassinations?
@CosmicHighway75@TakeMeMemory@aliceinempire "Rich" is a concept created by private ownership and the hoarding of resources.
Socialist countries have repeatedly been subject to outside interference through sanctions, enbargoes, funding of internal extremist groups, etc. All at the hands of the imperialist capitalists.
@PatrickH144@aliceinempire@TakeMeMemory The "greed" you're referring to was due to scarcity of necessary resources, like food.
With modern technology, a lot of scarcity has been abolished. Modern greed is entirely about hoarding power.
@PatrickH144@aliceinempire@TakeMeMemory Capitalism always degrades into authoritarianism. Private ownership leads to consolidation of power, the consolidation of power always leads to the oppression of those without.
