When I was growing up, I played Magic with my friends. I loved collecting the cards from 4th edition when I started, until I went to college. Shivan Dragon was my favorite card and I had a bunch of them! I played super heavily in the Tempest and Urza Blocks, but around 2004 in 8th edition, I needed to focus on school so I sold my collection.

Since then, I told myself no more collecting cards to focus on work and family and things. I would still play the occasional draft but I would just give away the cards. The game was still very fun, but I just didn't have the time to give it.

Well, I've been pretty desperately in need of a hobby. Something to pull me away from TFT every once in a while. I've done some Legos for example, but nothing fit that itch of organizing a collection and what not. So with the announcement of the Final Fantasy set, I said screw it and decided to start collecting cards again.

Pre-ordered a bunch of the FF set, as well as Tarkir Dragonstorm, and am kind of excited to rip open some packs and sort them all and fill a binder with a full set. Should be pretty fun.

So if the occasional post of mine is about M:TG, sorry in advance. But I'm kind of looking forward to it. In the few packs I've opened so far, there was a cool moment where these two (see pic) came from the same pack which was pretty neat.

Anyway, that's it. Just thought I'd share. Now back to your regularly scheduled TFT tweets. Take it easy :)

@GavinVerhey Thanks for giving me hope that my banned cards from September might return and others as such in tier 4 and 5. I have budget decks, theme decks in the 2-3 range, but I enjoy playing with power as well 😀

This morning I ordered precision Military air strikes on the Senior ISIS Attack Planner and other terrorists he recruited and led in Somalia. These killers, who we found hiding in caves, threatened the United States and our Allies. The strikes destroyed the caves they live in, and killed many terrorists without, in any way, harming civilians. Our Military has targeted this ISIS Attack Planner for years, but Biden and his cronies wouldn’t act quickly enough to get the job done. I did!
