Bills vs Lions 🏈

We have a clash of two high-powered offenses between the Bills and the Lions here though I feel these Lions are still being priced as if Ben Johnson is still the offensive coordinator; not Drew Petzing.

I’m not a fan of the lack of creativity that Petzing’s offense brings. We have already seen a resurgence in the Cardinals now that he is gone.

While I do believe the plan will be to run Gibbs nearly as many times as they did in week one as that is the best path to keep the ball out of Josh Allen’s hands (and also their most efficient way to move the ball); I don’t think they will be able to keep up with the firepower of the Josh Allen and Joe Brady.

The Bills put up 36 points on the best defense in football while averaging 7.9 yards per play. Josh Allen had his highest air yards per attempt since 2022 while dismantling Demeco Ryan’s defense downfield.

Much in part to Josh Allen finally having a downfield weapon in DJ Moore and they seem to have unlocked Kincaid too. This compliments James Cook tremendously.

That doesn’t bode well for the Lions defense that just gave up 410 passing yards and three touchdowns to Tyler Shough.

I do believe the Lions will be able to run the ball against the Bills, but the margin of error on stalling drives is higher where each possession matters more to the Lions then to a team like the Bills who will be able to score with explosives on any given play.

Give me the Bills against the spread. I believe they win by 6 or more.
