Got back from a camping adventure at Highlands Hammock State Park six days ago. It was a blast. That gem of a park is just outside Sebring, Florida. It's one of the 8 original Parks in Florida's State Park System.

Camp store very well stocked w/ the usual stuff & more. Unlike many other Parks, this store is open 7 days a wk. We often camp on "school days" because of work hours & have had 2 head 2 the nearest big box store 4 stuff I could have bought on site if the store wasnt weekends only

I've been dying to make it to the beach or camp for a couple of nights for a while now. But work commitments and our daily rains have kept me from pulling it off.

I'm over it. A photo from a previous trip of mine will just have to assuage my angst & frustration for now...
