LAWSUIT FILED OVER UPS MD-11 CRASH
The family of a man killed on the ground in the UPS Flight 2976 MD-11 crash has sued UPS, Boeing, GE, and VT San Antonio Aerospace, alleging they knew of defects in the aircraft's engine pylon assembly but failed to take adequate action.
The lawsuit seeks compensatory and punitive damages.
Airbus is taking the A350-1000ULR to the limit with a historic non-stop test flight from Toulouse to Melbourne ahead of Qantas' Project Sunrise launch next year.
The mission will demonstrate the aircraft's ultra-long-range capability on one of the world's longest routes.
