For people wondering where this is coming from, this is because Abdul Hadi Awang - president of PAS (largest political party in Malaysia by federal seats) - threw a bombshell during a speech at his annual party congress.

He revealed that - back in 2014, around the time of Obama's visit to Malaysia - PAS party leaders were invited at the US embassy and "were informed about the possibility of toppling the government and taking over the administration" and that "the US was prepared to assist the effort"(https://t.co/94bstyTsjZ)
