Rockwall-Heath capped off an undefeated season by defeating Houston Memorial 25-6 to claim the first-ever Texas Girls Flag Football State Championship at the University of North Texas.

As girls flag football continues to surge across Texas, with the state voting in October to make Flag Football a sanctioned sport, Heath's championship run is a glimpse into the future of the sport.

Texas takes a HUGE step towards Flag Football being a state wide sanctioned sport for High School Girls.

The council will meet in October to vote on Flag Football and adding a shot clock for Basketball.

Texas will host its unofficial state championship for high school girls on Saturday June 13th. These schools are hoping for the council to pass the proposal and make it offical for the 2027 year. Lets go Texas!!!
