Seven Officers Injured After Suspect Steals Police Cruiser and Crashes Into Home

DAYTON, Ohio — On Sept. 3, 2026, at about 11:45 p.m., Dayton Police Department officers investigating a crash at W. Third Street and Gettysburg Avenue saw a Toyota SUV travel at high speed through the blocked intersection, go left of center and strike a street sign.

Officers began a pursuit that lasted less than two minutes and ended with a pursuit termination technique. The driver left the SUV and ran into a fenced backyard with heavy vegetation. Officers lost sight of him during a foot chase. The man then returned, entered an unattended Dayton police cruiser and drove off after striking another cruiser.

A second pursuit, also lasting less than two minutes, ended when the stolen cruiser drove through a house in the 2300 block of Greenway Street. The driver attacked an officer, tried to take the officer’s firearm and bit the officer. Officers used force to take him into custody as he resisted. Seven officers were injured; six were treated at a hospital and released. Two occupants of the house were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A dog in the home received treatment for minor injuries. The adult male suspect was transported to a hospital.

Dayton Police’s Violent Offender Unit, Traffic Services Unit and Professional Standards Bureau responded. Miami Township Police, Moraine Police and the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office are involved. Charges will be determined by the prosecutor.

Criminal history: After arrest, investigators identified the man as a suspect in a homicide in Miami Township, where a woman was found shot to death Sept. 4 in an apartment in the 7300 block of Cold Water Court at Mad River Apartment Homes; her vehicle was missing. He is also a suspect in an aggravated robbery in Moraine involving the Toyota SUV and in reported assaults and carjacking attempts on I-75 near Dryden Road shortly before the Dayton incidents. Identities of the suspect and homicide victim have not been publicly released.

These are some of the final recorded FDNY radio communications from inside the South Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

In the final minutes before the tower collapsed, firefighters were still climbing toward the impact zone, searching for survivors and calling for more men to come up.

Battalion Chief Orio Palmer had reached the 78th floor. Lt. Joseph Leavey of Ladder 15 was climbing toward him. With barely two minutes remaining, Palmer called Battalion 9 Chief Edward Geraghty and told him they had access to the floors above.

Geraghty's response: “All right, I'm on my way up, Orio.”

Seconds later, a Ladder 15 firefighter radioed that he was trapped in an elevator shaft: “We're chopping through the wall to get out.”

The radio signal disappeared shortly afterward. The South Tower collapsed at 9:59 a.m.

Orio Palmer, Joseph Leavey and Edward Geraghty were killed that morning. They were still going up while others were trying to get out.

Google Gemini is by far the worse. ChatGPT is close to Gemini in how bias it is towards Christians. Grok is the most fair in its reasoning but still makes it clear that you’re allowed to hate Jesus but not Mohammed at the top of the answer

Armed Suspect Confronts Officer Before Standoff in Fort Worth

Fort Worth Police East Division officers responded to a "Person with a Weapon" call at an apartment complex in the 8500 block of John T. White Rd. after 911 callers reported an armed man pointing a gun at a resident.

Upon arrival, the responding officer located the suspect—identified as 42-year-old Deron Morris—in the parking lot, where he drew a firearm and placed it back into his waistband.

Despite repeated commands to stop, Morris advanced toward the officer and nearby bystanders in an occupied vehicle, then reached into his waistband for the gun.

Fearing for safety, the officer fired multiple shots, but Morris was not struck. He fled into his apartment, dropped his handgun during the foot chase, and barricaded himself inside.

After a brief standoff with perimeter officers, Morris was taken into custody without further incident. Two firearms were recovered, and no injuries were reported.

Morris remains in custody at the Tarrant County Jail facing multiple aggravated assault charges.

A daughter drove HUNDREDS of miles to check on her sick 75-year-old father... only to find the locks changed and a Ring camera on his door.

When she climbed through a window to reach her own dad, SHE got arrested for trespassing.

Then she was told, THROUGH THE DOORBELL, that he was no longer alive and that the NURSE who "took care of him" actually now OWNED HER DAD'S HOUSE.

This happened in Conway, South Carolina, and it will make your blood boil.

Her name is Nora Rowland.

Her dad was Robert Rowland, 75 years old and a vulnerable man living with Parkinson's and a brain injury.

Nora and her father were incredibly close. A "daddy's girl," she said. They FaceTimed every single week.

Then, in early 2024, a nurse named Sarah Smalls started caring for Robert through a home care company.

And that's when Nora says her dad started to disappear.

The weekly calls slowed. Then stopped. Something was wrong.

So on Father's Day, when she didn't hear from him, she got in her car and drove from Baltimore all the way to South Carolina to check on the man she loved.

When she got there, his front door had been replaced. A Ring camera was watching her. She couldn't get into her own father's home.

So she climbed through a window. And police arrested her and her partner for TRESPASSING... at her own dad's house.

And then, over that Ring doorbell, she was told her father had died.

Nora says that in the weeks before her father died, that nurse had the DEED to his house signed over to herself.

...and the family wasn't told until he was already gone.

To be clear... man with Parkinson's and a BRAIN INJURY, who was classified as a vulnerable adult was allowed to SIGN HIS HOME AWAY.

In Nora's own words: "He would never think that someone could do this to him. I really can't emphasize enough how many other people could easily get taken advantage of like this."

Her trespassing charges were dismissed, s now she's fighting in court to get her father's house back.

The nurse refused to comment. The care company claimed they knew nothing, but Nora says she has subpoenaed documents proving otherwise.

Police are still investigating.

NEW: Baltimore officer fires three shots after driver strikes and drags him over an improperly parked car

On August 22 near Lexington Market, Officer Samuel Thomas, a 20-year veteran, was dealing with an unregistered car with expired tags.

He let the driver, 29-year-old Tyrik L. Braxton of Columbia, Maryland, get back in to grab his belongings.

Braxton started the car and tried to leave.

Police say he accelerated, struck Thomas, and forced him onto the hood.

Braxton stopped, reversed, then hit the gas again while the officer hung onto the windshield wipers. Thomas then fired three times.

Braxton was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
